The hospital is built, but there's always more to do! Help us to better organize and customize our facility to provide improved rehabilitative capabilities. If you have any veterinary or construction-based experience, please let us know so we can better utilize your skill set.
The GBTH has several ways for volunteers to get involved with turtle conservation efforts through the Saving Turtles at Risk (START) Project.
- Field Work: Join our staff out in the bogs and swamps searching for and gathering information from turtles! Check out Turtle Bootcamp here.
- Community Volunteer: Receive training and learn how to identify species, safely handle turtles, and report turtle observations in your area.
Check back in the future for more opportunities to support us once we open our doors as a fully certified rehabilitation centre!
